The "Domingues & Bessada" winery, at the time under the name "António Domingues", would be the oldest winery in the region, taking out its first label in 1971, at a time when registration was not compulsory, so it was only registered in 1994. The brand ended up being lost in time after the tragic death of his first-born son; the founder didn't have the strength to continue with the project.
Now, almost twenty years later, their daughter Soraia Domingues and son-in-law Tiago Bessada have reopened the winery and launched the magnificent "ANTAIA" wine as a tribute to its founder, thus bringing the generations together. This peculiar name was given by combining the three first names António, Tiago and Soraia.
