A set of 8 malicious apps was found available in the Google Play Store.

Detected by ESET security systems like Android / TrojanDropper.Agent.BKY, these applications are part of a new malware family on Android that uses a multi-stage execution architecture with encryption.

In all cases investigated by ESET, in the final payload was discovered a banking trojan, once installed, uses mechanisms such as fake forms to steal credentials or even credit card information.

Google has already removed all eight applications from your store. Users with Google Play Protect enabled are already properly protected.
